Kamome
A
fter the 2011 tsunami, this boat named Kamome was found in Crescent City, California.
After the boat was miraculously identified on social media, Crescent City high schoolers restored it and sent it back to its home in Rikuzentakada, Japan.
After this act of unity, the two cities became sister cities and have maintained a close relationship to this day.
The entire story is told in the moving documentary Kamome.
